Yes he did. He absolutely tooled him too. Parker is actually boxing under his Samoan birth name in this fight (as he did for all his fights in the WSB) not his Westernized one. Joseph Parker is obviously his Westernized name but his Samoan birth name is Uaine FA. He's actually named after the village of his ancestors - 'Faleula' which he has now shortened to just FA.

    From his Wiki page.

'He is of predominantly Samoan descent, but also has little English and German ancestry. Parker's Samoan ancestry roots go back to the Faleula Village on the main island of Upolu in Samoa.'

OK, I have to come clean I've been a tad liberal with the truth here. That guy Usyk is fighting there isn't actually Joseph Parker but he does look quite like him and they come from the same region of the world. I think he would give a good account of himself if he were to fight Parker too so they might as well be one and the same.

Ivan Dychko isn't Vitali Klitschko's nephew either. I straight up lied there. I'm big enough and ugly enough to admit to that one.

LOL they do look so similar. While I was watching the fight I had to open a new page to go see how Parker looks like.
In the other video they gave Parker's Samoan name and it wasn't FA Uaine, that's when I knew it wasn't him lol.

LOL, You did a great job at hyping him in that post. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I was getting even more excited for this guy. I was like what, he beat Parker!?

Usyk may well do the business at Heavyweight.....but he'd get savagely KO'd by Anthony Joshua MBE.

I love the huge leaps. I'm sure if you went back far enough and crossed over enough fights you could find a way to prove stuff like Chauncy Welliver would beat Wladimir Klitschko. To find out who wins, there needs to be a fight - at least unless it's glearingly obvious.

Will do some more investigation in the current Usyk though, sounds very interesting and it's interesting that he's not contending at heavyweight... it's all moot if the change never happens.

Evidently Fa beat Parker at least twice in 2009 and 2012. Parker also fought in WSB, as Joseph Parker. He wasn't very impressive and fought way worse opposition than Usyk at SHW.

I wonder if HBO has any interest in showing Usyk fight? Seems like a good fit considering the splash guys like Golovkin and Kovalev have made on their network. Also with PBC showing that dynamic fight from Glowacki and Huck the addition of Usyk to U.S. TV could generate interest in the division, despite the rival companies not doing direct business.

Based on what I saw in the Muller fight; he moves very well for a big guy, good hand speed for a big guy, he showed a decent beard seeing as how Muller did get to him with quite a few right hands BUT his footwork left him in the path of punches way too much and that won't fly against guys at heavy who can hit. Plus his jab is a little too flicking at points, he's got the speed to stick hard and move.
His flurry to end Muller left him a little too wide open too.
Verdict: too early to start crowning him anything.

Interesting. I wonder if FA is planning on turning pro anytime soon too.

Come to think of it now that you mention it I vaguely remember seeing one of Parker's fights in the WSB now.
