Bruwer, in the ring now, is returning from a twelve month absence.

He is the most recent South African cruiserweight titlist (probably stripped by now, though) - but not the best cruiserweight from South Africa. More like 3rd or 4th best.

He lost to countrymen Thabiso Mchunu, Danie Venter, and Flo Simba - all by decision. He was stopped by Alexeev the first time he challenged for anything beyond a domestic belt. So his chin is no worse than average, failing only against the best puncher he faced.
