Round 1

Bruwer keeps his back to Usyk, facing his own corner as the bell rings, finishing some prayer ritual or something. He turns and faces Usyk, plodding away from him into a corner with a high guard. Usyk stalks, lead right foot stuck invasively past Bruwer's left with his rear staked far outside, squatting deeply and rolling his upper body in place in front of Bruwer, lulling him with forward oaring motions. QUICK RIGHT HOOK by Usyk. Bruwer down. Ruled a slip? Unclear. Bruwer keeps his arms pinned together up over his face as Usyk dances around him landing fast single and double right jabs from mid-range either between the wrists, above the glove tops, or scraping the cheeks of Bruwer.

Round 2

Bruwer is lunging for Usyk with left jabs from the hip, arms down. Usyk shifts to his right a couple of steps, drawing Bruwer into a partial spin, and feeds him sharp right jabs on the face. QUICK 1-2 by Usyk, following through with his entire body weight on the left cross into the gut and badly staggering Bruwer. More jab fencing on the outside, Usyk keeping Bruwer from ever setting his feet. Another 1-2 by Usyk, on the chin. Clumsy double left jabs pawed out by the South African while making adjustments to keep his feed shoulder width apart, too slow to get set before Usyk is nearly behind him and drilling into the base of his skull with long, straight right jabs. 1-2-3 by Usyk circling in on his prey, landing the right hook on the body. Bruwer walks into a double jab and lobs in some body shots under the elbows of Usyk. A few steps backward and Usyk has Bruwer walking onto his jab again.

Round 3

Bruwer is weaving side to side now as he walks in, keeping his fists turned inward, palms on his brows. Usyk is firing quiver-fulls of arrow jabs at him while circling. Usyk gets comfortable with the lack of counter fire and opens up with left crosses and right hooks, breaking up the guard of Bruwer. Usyk keeps dancing on his toes and hopping laterally, never taking more than a step or two without landing at least a jab. Lead right hook into the armpit by Usyk while tracking right, catching Bruwer with his arm extended pawing a left jab to leave the opening. Bruwer walks Usyk into the ropes and shoeshines but hits gloves. Usyk bounces off the ropes and steps past Bruwer. Triple right jab on the face by Usyk, making Bruwer cover up and dip frantically.
