Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois in talks for the summer at Wembley

That's less than 20lbs, and he's 6'3". Not exactly ballooning.

 

I'm genuinely amazed how many posters are calling this a pointless fight, pretending Usyk and Dubois are the same fighters they were two years ago.

Usyk will rightly be favourite, but he is 38, undersized and slowing down. With the possible exception of Kabayel, no top heavyweight has improved / put it together as much as Daniel has over the past two years. He absolutely banjoed AJ and his self belief has gone through the roof. He now knows what it takes to box Usyk and he will absolutely look to murder him in the first half of the fight.

I'm not saying he gets it done, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he did. A pointless and boring fight? Do me a favour, this could be an absolute epic two years on from the first one.

 

It’s funny because isn’t that what usyk did immediately after the low blow - he literally took it to him. Ok May not ‘stood and traded’ but he definitely wasn’t going backwards.

 

Absolutely I think it’s absurd to write Daniel off. When you have natural abilities, self belief can go a long way

 

Almost 10% body weight, which for Usyk is pretty insane. It also aligns with his statement that he has 1 "real" fight left, and one exhibition.

 

How is he a "paper champion"? He destroyed Miller, Hrgovic and Joshua in a row.

 

It's a fight for undisputed title.

 

How much talking do these guys need to do?

 

Because there can be only 1 champion and his name is Usyk.

 

Thing is, though, this is not necessarily all fat. He is calling out Jake Paul for an MMA fight, which I suspect will lead to a couple more. He may be bulking up.

 

I would really not expect much more than an exhibition bout from this . Usyk will win and dubois gets a very big payday .

 

I think it's pretty unlikely. This was at the Ring Magazine award show, which was like 2.5-3 weeks after Usyk Fury 2. His face looked fat at the show, and in interviews, he was referencing enjoying life going to McDonalds with his sons.
His ideal fighting weight is 221-222 and I doubt he would put on lots of muscle for an mma move until he's done with boxing.
