Dubois is a clubfighter. I am on record as saying well before the Joyce fight that I found him to be totally talent-free, and almost losing to Kevin Lorena has done nothing to prove otherwise. Untalented muscleman who is easily marketable because of a million dollar body.
Dont mind limerickbox, he sleeps new york hours, works japanese hours, relaxes turkish hours and lives in Ireland.
I'd back Dubois to beat Brezeale but even so, he's undoubtedly better than Molina. Dubois beat Trevor Bryan who beat Stirverne so he's better than Stiverne too... I'm not saying Dubois is a future world champion or anything but he's definitely not the biggest bum to ever fight for a title.
Stiverne was over 40. As for Molina, we will see in time if Dubois is any better. Thus far he has no signature win to prove it.
Agree w/ most posters here. I don't see why DD should even get a title shot at Usyk over other HWs. That said, if about the same age I'd easily favor Usyk. But Usyk is about a decade older than DD. You never know when a fighter will age overnight. It might not happen for 2-3 years for Usyk and very gradually. Nobody knows.
In my personal living memory (Im 38) Alex Leapai Kavin Johnson Dominic Breazeale Manuel Charr Charles Martin Albert Sosnowski The Rahman that Povetkin fought who literally limped his way to the ring. Francesco Pianeta Eric Molina Willi Fischer Damon Reed Gerald Washington 40 year old Shannon Briggs Id back Dubois to take care of any of them, and they've all fought for one of the 4 HW belts.
Defiantly Leapai and probably Martin. Maybe Piantet and Washington who ahd serviceable chins in thier primes (Pianeta got the cancer and was never the same). Based on that Lorena match, anyone would have a chance.
He's got more power than Lorena. I'll tell you that much. We are miles apart. I don't think that you get tha tDubois is compelely untalented. He is easily marketable due to his looks.
