Usyk does everything better than Wilder except one thing,,and that one thing gets Usyk ko'ed. Usyk will have to move constantly and hope to get in counters without getting clipped. He'll get caught

Usyk is the far better boxer but I'd fancy Wilder to catch him at some stage

You would be correct. Awful fight for Wilder. He would look........foolish? Tough to find a word to fit Wilder anymore. His lack of sportsmanship and the brutal fact he accused Mark Breland, who as I know you know, was a good fighter, former champ in his day, of “spiking” his water. Distasteful really. But back to Usyk, his footwork along with his angles and head movement would **** Deontae off all night

You really find Usyks head movement that effective? He doesn't really show very effective head movement in my view

Well I don’t find it awful. Not top notch but vs a telegraphing puncher like Wilder, he could see em comin easy. Dip and slip

Even if he's able to slip 9 out of every 10 right hands Wilder throws which I doubt he has the ability to do surviving all 12 rounds is still far from a guarantee.

I'd favour Usyk but it's a dangerous fight for him.

Wilder pre-defeat: Wilder by KO. Neither Fury nor Usyk could dance around Wilder for 12 rounds and avoid every KO shot. Fury had the strength and size to overpower Wilder and smack him around. Usyk is too small to do that.

Wilder post-defeat: Likely Usyk. It's not uncommon for fighters to lose their heart and ambition after a big defeat, and Wilder doesn't seem to be taking his defeat well.

Difficult to say really. I've not seen Usyk take a really heavy shot yet at heavyweight, so how can anyone say how well he'd handle a Wilder shot?

Usyk is still not proven at this level. Period. His best win was Chisora and that wasn't MASSIVELY convincing against a top 20 heavyweight.

Interesting matchup. I need to see Usyk fight a better HW than his last couple fights and would like to see which version of Wilder shows up. If he can overcome his loss and fight with confidence and full ability, he’s dangerous. If he comes back tentative and afraid to get hit, he’s going to have problems because unlike AJ, he has poor boxing skills. Wilder hits harder than any HW, although in the second Fury fight, he hit a lot of air. He’s a colorful character and adds some excitement to the division so I hope he comes back. You have to think he’s going to catch Usyk with something in a 12 round fight and don’t know how he will react. I’d like to see this one!

If Usyk was a big puncher I'd favor him cause Wilder is a bum, skills wise. But Usyk isn't a big puncher, so Wilder. To Wilder's credit, he took some shots from Ortiz, who I think is a pretty good puncher and survived. Usyk is probably skilled enough to catch him more but there's not enough power.

Agreed. I think Usyk is agile enough and defensively equipped enough to avoid getting pulverized by Wilder’s right. To me, that’s all he’d need to to do to be able to outbox Wilder.

Yes, the luster is off Wilder quite a bit, but he is still dangerous. Especially to those who can’t outmuscle him, or outquick him.

Wilder would be punching air all night and Usyk would light him up with jabs and combinations. Usyk was right that between Fury, AJ and Wilder, Wilder is his easiest fight. He's been calling Wilder out for a long time now as he knows it's an easy UD or late stoppage against a big name that's still rated quite highly. I can't see this fight ever happening though, Wilder will avoid him like the plague. If he ever returns it will be against a Charles Martin or Helenius and considering how mentally shot he appears to be, these could be difficult fights for him.
