He was 209 lbs. If you want to quibble over 1-4 pounds be my guess. But if he could KO a 209 pound man, I doubt him being a pound heavier makes him immune to Patterson’s punches. McMurray is another man who'd be a solid cruiserweight today that Patterson beat.

Usyk is a bridge too far, Floyd is stopped in under ten rounds.

A fringe contender in the heavyweight division at the time. And while he wasn't the best, it shows that Patterson could hypothetically be competitive against rehydrated cruisers who would weigh in the 210ish pound range.

Not really, it shows he can beat McMurray a fringe contender I’ve never heard of not a great or even good cruiser, Dempsey would run over some very average SHW’s… it doesn’t mean he’s beating Lennox Lewis just like Patterson ain’t beating Jai Opetia (spelling?) that’s an Ali sized guy with real pop, he’d behead Patty.

Sure but Patterson also beat top contenders like Bonavena and Chuvalo and Quarry (he should have gotten the decision). All of them could be modern cruisers today and they all would be top contenders. Wouldn't be surprised if Quarry became a champion at cruiserweight. Not saying Patterson beats any specific guy, but dismissing his chances wholesale isn't smart based on the size of some of the top guys he beat

I think having this fight Cruiserweight would be the most fair and at that weight it would be a great fight.

Patterson would give Usyk issues in the 1st half of the fight with his blinding speed and it would take Usyk a little while to get Patterson's speed and timing down. I think Usyk will also be wary of Patterson's explosive power early on who did have some wallop in his punches especially with the left hook.

But Usyk will have downloaded the data by the 2nd half of the fight and would have Patterson figured out by then. Usyk would start to have alot more success and would win a competitive but clear decision.

At Cruiserweight this would not be an easy fight for Usyk. Patterson is considerably faster than Usyk in regards to handspeed and believe me it would be competitive.
