It has always been a holy grail of modern fight fans, to find a cruiser weight who could be favored over Dempsey/Louis/Marciano.

That would be the final piece of the puzzle theoretically.

To that end many effigies have been offered up, only to be burned by their contemporaries!

Jones, Mormeck, Haye, it became comical eventually!

Now I honestly think that we do have a realistic prospect!

 

I think Usyk would give Dempsey fits,right up until he is cornered on the ropes ,then its night, nights!

 

Well Bellew managed to tag Usyk several times, and Bellew ain’t no Dempsey.

 

To me Usyk is unproven, who has he beaten?

 

He cleaned out his entire division.

Defined arms and abs doesn't a great fighter make. Fury or Wilder wouldn't have been heard of during that era, they simply don't fight on the level those fighters fought on.

 

Bellew was just being pesky and waaiting to counter punch, tat`s the easiest time to hit a fighter, Dempsey wasn`t as good at catching an opponent after they punched as Usyk is, Jack was not known for being defensive like Bellew was and waiting to counter, he would be missing more than Bellew and not being as careful.
