Ivanov taking it to this guy. Thinks he gets him out of there in the next round.

Pretty solid guy for a 3-0 fighter to be facing, actually.

He already has defeated better, certainly, but this isn't a major regression. I'm okay with it. At the very least Muller probably has a bigger punch than any of Usyk's past tests (even if some were superior overall packages - though even there, if they were, only by a hair) so anyone still questioning his beard might get some answers tonight if anything spiteful gets through.

Aduashvili's no Felipe Romero, but yeah. :D

    40-36 Petro Ivanov

Tidy defense, good work rate, punches in bunches (though he isn't sitting down on them much)

Aduashvili isn't going quietly, but he's going nonetheless. Every time he's able to crack Ivanov he pays for it gobbling up jabs and flurries. Aduashvili is always the one to force a melee inside and it never goes well for him. Too lopsided a conversion rate. Ivanov has quicker hands and less stationary feet.

Weird how he's got so unmissable so fast, isn't it? I don't recall queuing up to watch Golovkin or Kovalev when they were at this stage of their career's.

I think maybe Golovkin and Kovalev kinda are paving the way for ex-Soviet olympians? After seeing what some of these guys can do we as fans are more interested to follow them from earlier stages.

Kovalev had zero amateur buzz, it wasn't until well into the pros that anyone (including me, though I was of course way ahead of the curve :D) and Golovkin, while he did have buzz, mostly only did in avid boxing fan circles. Usyk has been snowballing into something for a long time now, with the Olympics and then WSB exposure...

Georgians almost invariably are. (thinking Avtandil Khurtsidze, the Jomardashvilli bros, etc)

Ivanov couldn't be any more classically Ukrainian in his style.

Usyk took some BIG shots against legit HWs in WSB, I really don't think his chin is a question mark.

If I had to point to a fault though, it would be that he has too many wasted movement that might of worked in amateur short round fights, but not so much in a 12 round pro fight, and he doesn't seem to have a very big punch, certainly not as much as his record would suggest. Otherwise he looks fantastic
