I think highly of him too you see I rep Usyk. But everybody knows the jump from LHW:CW and CW:HW are the single biggest/hardest. If you think Ortiz is an easy fight for anybody alive, I would call your opinion there highly questionable. Thus, I find it odd for people to be so confident in a decisive conclusion. And that goes for the other way too.
Haye and Holyfield did it fairly effortlessly, Usyk is every bit as skilled if not more so than Haye and Evander, and probably more durable than Haye. He'll be fine. Not saying Ortiz would be a walk in the park early, but Usyk will take his time, feel him out, then when he get him figured out, close strong down the stretch.
prime Ortiz would undoubtably cause southpaw problems for a few rounds until 2Slyk works him out, then takes him apart. 4 year old Ortiz stands no chance.
Ortiz is far bigger and better than Breidis who Usyk struggled with, only fanboys think this is an easy fight for him. I lean 60-40 Ortiz, until we see Usyk at HW I’m reluctant to pick him over a legit top 5 fighter in the division.
Can’t wait to witness how Usyk fairs against Spong live at the Wintrust Arena, an opponent who has also fared well against Ortiz in sparring.
