    Briedis more cautious, Usyk looking to counter, Usyk starting to walk MB down now, landing one twos and his hard jab regularly, his jab is snapping Briedis' head back, he flies Mairis' head with huge straight left, MB lands a body shot, Usyk takes it well, Briedis gives Usyk a little Usyk gives it right back before the bell.

    Bredis still having some nice moments, especially in the last minute of the 8th,but he's eating the jab pretty consistently now. 5-3 Usyk on my card.

    If Briedis doesn't bounce back, that won't be an issue. I thought Usyk took the 7th and 8th. Briedis is going to have to rebound the last 4 rounds.

    5-3 Usyk. A lot of close rounds though. Usyk out peppering the Latvian with the jab and landing the cleaner counters as well. Briedis' handspeed and footwork just looking a lititle jaded though, pace maybe getting to him. Thrilling contest so far.

    The only thing is, you could legitimately give Briedis the first four rounds...i mean that wouldn't even be unreasonable, really. I didn't, but you could see it.
