I can't pick one here. I imagine this goes the distance. How would both guys handle facing fellow southpaws? Perhaps looking at each man's record vs southpaws will give a better indication.
I'll take Uysk by UD. Of course a younger lighter Moorer would be far more dangerous and competitive than the older plodding one. I honestly think the very active and far superior boxer that Uysk is would frustrate MM who could get lazy and lackadaisical at times even when he was younger and lighter. Uysk's extensive amauter background serves him well in this one.
Usyk beat all his fellow southpaws, so did Moorer, when Moorer was 37 he fought 30 year old Jirov and Moorer was weighing in the 250s, far higher than he should’ve been and he was getting outboxed but Moorer stopped him late and he got a draw against Dale Crowe, but it was a technical decision in the 4th round and Moorer won every round, but it has to got more than 4 rounds to go to the cards
then its hard to tell, both guys can probably take the best punches the other guys can throw My gut feeling is that Moorer of the first Holyfield fight takes edges it but i would never put any money on it. Moorer MD or SD.
I would agree that the 215 pound version of Moorer would be the most competitive with Uysk but I just can't see MM doing enough to win a decision against Uysk and I think Uysk is to defensively good to get caught by Moorer with anything that would knock him out.
