Lets say prime Usyk vs the Spinks that dethroned Larry Holmes. How do their styles mesh, and who takes it.
i would favor spinks. his awkwardness was impossible to figure out. he had no rhythm. ugliest boxing ive ever seen be that effective at those levels. i havent seen that level of effectiveness from usyk at hw. if he were to beat aj, which i dont expect him to, i might have to rethink this. depends on how he looks winning. i dont consider aj a great fighter.
This, i favor spinks and list the reasons quoted here But I'd be a competitive chess match. I do think Spinks is underrated at heavyweight due to his loss to Mike Tyson which is why i made this matchup to see the results. I also however think Usyk would be a force in the 70s and 80s.
Spinks jab was one of the best ever. I imagine hed control the fight with his jab and probably ko usyk late.
