    Usyk probably clears.

Liston stands the best chance. He has a monstorous 82 inch reach. Usyk is quick but he can't dance away like Ali. Liston's left hook will cause him issues. Very close fight.

But yes he probably clears. Povetkin could give him a good fight with his variety of punches but Usyk beats him.

Liston gets the S beaten out of him that would not be an overly competitive fight.

    Yes it would be.

Usyk is not as quick footed as the 22 year old Ali. Not even close.

Liston's reach, jab, left hook and right hand will cause major issues.

Usyk has a very comfortable advantage against Povetkin and Vitali.

Versus Spinks and Bowe he still has the upper hand, but he has to work for his bread and be very careful.

Liston is a different deal. Povetkin is in the fight of his life and with not a lot of chances.

    Most probably he goes 4 - 1.
Maybe, just maybe, it goes 3 - 2 but only IF Spinks or Bowe have their best night ever.

The fact that Povetkin would likely be his toughest opponent here is immensely hilarious.

Usyk's southpaw stance could negate Liston's jab and left hook.

I’d say Spinks (at CW) and Povetkin at heavyweight give him the most issues technically, in terms of who is the most competitive overall, that could be someone else, but they all could give a good fight, but I’d pick Usyk to beat all of them.

Usyk beats them all, he is a higher level fighter than the others and that is a simple fact.

Hunter has plenty of success with both the jab and the hook for the first 5-6 rounds before he ran out of steam. The southpaw stance isn't some magical stance that takes away the left hook.

The left hook is actually highly effective vs southpaws, even more than it is vs orthodox fighters. James Toney stopped Michael Nunn with a left hook and used the left hook repeatedly vs another elite leftie in Jirov to win.

Mayweather used the left hook repeatedly vs southpaws and to great effect.

Usyk is great but he hasn't faced many great left hookers. Fury has a below average to average left hook. Dubois has a solid one but didn't throw many. Joshua has a good left hook but he was again reluctant to attack with it consistently due to his mediocre chin.

Joshua actually caught and hurt Usyk with a big left hook in round 12. Watch the footage at round 12 minutes and 10 seconds. Usyk was staggered by an excellent left hook but he has a good poker face and AJ bought it.

12 THRILLING ROUNDS | Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua 2 Fight Highlights

Liston will be a hell of a lot more agressive with his left hooks. The left hook is a fantastic weapon vs southpaws if the orthodox fighter has the skill and willingness to throw it with power and consistency.

Usyk is incredibly consistent no matter the opponent or size disadvantage , I think its gunna take a special HW or age to beat him , and I don't see any of those doing it.. Vitali malfunctioned against a small southpaw.. Bowe looked dynamite versus Holyfield but the Golota whoopings tempered any of that.. Spinks? Nah.. Povetkin & Liston.. Nah.. one was on so much juice he nearly burst & Liston i think is massively overrated & benefited from an era of very small HWs & incredibly padded opposition..

Only if you know how to use it vs a southpaw which requires taking the inside angle and makes you vulnerable to the southpaw straight if you just spam it. They can use hand fighting to obstruct the lead hand making it hard to land the left hook or counter with the straight which since its a linear punch will usually always land first. And this is assuming Liston is skilled enough or fast enough to do all this and watching him fight that seems very unlikely.

You do not need to be as quick footed as Ali to beat Liston… more then one way to skin a cat, I’d love to know which southpaws Liston fought in an era deprived of them? Wasn’t Liston a converted southpaw in the mythos? - you’re so vague you might as well say “he’d win by punching Usyk”

What film are you watching of Liston against even a “good” southpaw let alone the best ever at HW?
