Louis. I think there's no danger of Usyk not lasting to the final bell.

Louis by KO around 6 or 7.

It's a good fight, but Usyk has a terrible habit of taking it offensively and brawling whenever he gets hit. Wouldn't work well with the Brown Bomber, and Louis is on a whole different level than Bredis who fought 12 even rounds with Usyk.

    Louis KO-13.

I don't like predicting fights like this because old time heavies never had exposure to southpaws, let alone really talented ones, and there's a definite advantage for the southpaws in such scenarios. Trainers of the era wouldn't even allow natural lefties to stay southpaw.

The sparring wasn't available for Joe to replicate the style he'd be facing in Usyk, so he'd have to figure him out on the fly. Joe was phenomenal in rematches, but I could easily see Usyk outhustling him for a points win.

Most people consider Joe Louis's prime as his rematch against Schmeling. The Louis that destroyed Scheming in 1 round in a blaze of fury would destroy Usyk imo. That being said, Usyk's career is far from over

I could also see an outcome like this if Usyk gets pulled into a brawl with Joe's right hand.

Usyk does have a bit of a macho streak, but he's also no fool. If he finds himself buzzed he has no problem running or clinching till his head is clear. Saying that, the Briedis fight is a pretty good indicator of how Louis might do, as they have some stylistic similarities, but everyone has their off night, and I suspect a rematch would go a lot easier for Usyk, much as it often did with Louis himself.

This is a good post. Realistically Louis would have had a nightmare preparing for Usyk given the limited resources he had access to back then. Then again, Usyk wouldn't have had access to whatever supplements he's taking, so perhaps it evens out.

One thing is for sure, it'd be a disaster for Louis to go in blind against Usyk. Even world class guys that study what he brings can't handle him.

It seems like you lean towards Usyk to beat Louis

Yes, Louis supposedly considered Mario Berlina (sp?), who was 185 lbs. but turned him down after sparring with him because he was left-handed.

Louis wins this and probably by 11th to 14th round stoppage or ko personally I think this is a good fight
