Oleksandr Usyk vs Riddick Bowe (Ducking Contest)

Funny you should mention Bowe, as even a person with Bowe level CTE would be ashamed of this thread.

 

Bowe made offers to Lewis unlike Usyk.

 

Bowe probably wouldn't duck Usyk, not as big or powerful as Lewis. Usyk at his peak never avoided anybody, fought on enemy territory and clearly beats Riddick

But the current 40 year old Usyk might duck an upcoming prospect in Bowe and drop his belt. Still, the age says alot. Bowe couldn't even make it to 30. I wouldn't rule out middle aged Usyk beating Bowe up.

 

Unlike Bowe Usyk actually fought all the best fighters in the division and proved he was the best. Him taking easier fights now that he's getting older isn't the same thing as Bowe ducking fighters in his prime.

 

Usyk has fully unified the HW division and has beaten the best fighters of his generation. Keep crying.

Again... Usyk has a very good track record of taking meaningful fights. Losing your **** over 1 fight is insane.

 

Who is Usyk even ducking? I haven't even seen any other boxers complaining of Usyk ducking them. This thread makes no sense.

 

It’s just he’s an inactive champ which is very bad for boxing. Need to be fighting at least 2x a year

Bowe fought the same number of HW contenders before winning the belt as Usyk has total HW opponents.

A difference here is that Bowe was ducking other champions. Who made it easy by not holding on to their belts. Usyk is ruining the careers of dozens of HWs who haven't made it yet. Theres about 30 guys who in other eras would be nominally qualified for a title shot.

In 1994 Lennox lost to McCall. At the time no one was pressuring to make that fight. By the time he got his belt back Bowe had retired.
