Oleksandr Usyk

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by War Lomachenko, Jul 22, 2013.

  1. This is one special fighter, people give Lomachenko the right respect that he deserves, but Usyk is just as good. Olympic gold medalist , world Championship Gold medalist, undefeated in the World Series of Boxing. Your looking at a future star at whatever weight he turns pro at - cruiserweight or heavyweight. Really hope there an announcement soon on him turning pro!

Indeed the same about Anthony Joshua. He looked so skilled, quick and incredibly gifted at the Olympics.

Usyk is the real deal imo, even fighting big heavyweights in WSB he makes it look easy, he completely schooled the big punching Medzhidov who won a gold medal at the World Amateur Championships in 2011. He could be a dominant champion at CW and HW imo.

Usyk's undoubtedly got speed skill movement and accuracy in abundance, but It's difficult to gauge his power.

Obviously we'll have to wait and see how he takes a flush headshot - he don't get hit a lot, but sooner or later his whiskers gonna get tested.

Usyk is the most skilled heavyweight I have seen in the amateur ranks in at least 12 years. He should make a fine pro. From a speed and skill standpoint, he has more than Wlad. Of course he does not have Wald's size, or power.

  10. Usyk would on his own beat Wilder, Mitchell, Jennings and Scott if they were all in the ring together. This is what you call a REAL heavyweight prospect not a american hope fraud.

Usyk and Lomachenko taking their sweet time announcing any pro intentions. I am at the point where it would not suprise me if they were preparing for the upcoming WC's in Astana.

  13. looks like Lomachenko is signing with Top Rank, but not Usyk, if so that's ****ed up. Usyk is just as worthy of similar money to what Lomachenko is gonna get.
