I started out as a fan of Usyk. Not a raging superfan. But I've been a fan for years. Although I am a bigger fan of Gassiev and was gutted when Usyk comprehensively outclassed him with superior boxing technique and fundamentals. 4 years ago I said I rate Usyk p4p #1. I said he cleaned out arguably the toughest division in the sport. Few agreed with my assessment as Usyk p4p. It was all about Loma and Crawford despite them having lightyears inferior resumes. Boxing fans are arrogant like that, they think they know more about the sport than they actually do instead of simply going by resumes. Then he went up and dismantled a prime SuperHeavyweight and lifted 3 titles off Joshua. Only thing left is for him to relieve Fury of his title to become undisputed in the two highest weight classes. But having previously rated him p4p #1 for many years, his Joshua showing made me realize I had actually underestimated this fighter. I feel like I'm watching history. Having been watching live boxing since the early 2000s I can count on 1 hand the amount of fighters I've seen who were better p4p than this Ukrainian.
He is a fighter who doesn’t fit in this era a true warrior. He should be throw back in time about 80 years ago.

Johnny Mueller 23 (14)-9 Underrated cruiser with wins over Matuesz Mastarnak and Kevin Lerena I took the time to delineate every opponent to show just how insanely good his top ten wins are AFTER 19 FIGHTS!
Enjoy Usyk while we still can before he retires. He’s also someone that I was overlooking for years and have only started to really appreciate more and more. An amazing athlete, fighter, and person.
Closest thing we have to a messiah right now A man who literally, much to the chagrin of the haters , hasn't put a foot wrong And what kind of wretched circus freak wouldn't love Usyk? The kind of amoral miscreants who value corruption, deck-stacking, cowardice, refusal to use your passport and fight on a level playing field and fouling and cheating like crazy over honesty, requiring zero advantage be it fair or unfair, bravery, traveling to your opponent's backyard religiously, and winning your fights via clean boxing, pure skill and zero use of illegal tactics P4P#2 in just 19 fights Unified the CW division in just 15 fights Three belt unified HW king in just 19 fights Olympic gold medalist World Amateur Championships gold & bronze European gold & bronze medalist Won all those gold medals on the road He was robbed in the 2008 Olympics against the eventual semi-finalist that year WBC cruiserweight champion WBA cruiserweight champion IBF cruiserweight champion WBO cruiserweight champion WBA heavyweight champion IBF heavyweight champion WBO heavyweight champion Unified the CW division in just 15 fights Is the three belt unified HW king in just 19 fights Won his Olympic gold, World Amateur gold, and European gold on the road Won, defended, and unified all his world titles as a pro in his opponent's backyards sans his first defence which was on neutral soil Ring Magazine champion at CW Ranked #2 P4P by The Ring Magazine Winner of the Muhammad Ali trophy Beat WBA, IBF and WBO champ AJ (24-1) in England WBA and IBF champ Gassiev (26-0) in Russia Beat WBC champ Briedis (23-0) in Latvia Beat WBO champ Glowacki (26-0) in Poland Beat former long reigning WBO champ Huck (40-4-1) in Germany Beat former WBC champ Bellew (30-2-1) in England Beat Michael Hunter (12-0) in the US Beat Mchunu (17-2) on neutral soil Beat Chisora (32-9) in England Has beaten six world champions in 19 fights but it should be seven because Mchunu was robbed by Donald King's judges Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year (2018) ESPN Fighter of the Year (2018) Sports Illustrated Fighter of the Year (2018) CBS Fighter of the Year (2018) Boxing Writers Association of America Fighter of the Year (2018) Boxing News Fighter of the Year (2018) P4P#1 funniest boxer on the planet P4P#1 most charismatic despite barely being able to speak English P4P#1 most humble P4P#1 most fearless P4P#1 road warrior P4P#1 best dancer Best southpaw HW ever Best engine of any HW champ ever and can throw 1000 in a fight Best chin in boxing and has never even been hurt, let alone dropped or stopped despite facing more savage punching KO artists and legit bangers than any current fight you can think of in his last 9 fights Shares birthday, height, and reach with the #2 HW GOAT Muhammed Ali Has sold out arenas and stadiums in the UK twice (would've been 3 if not for Covid restrictions), Russia, Latvia, Poland, Germany, the US and Ukraine Highly athletic, highly skilled, very fleet of hand and foot, high ring IQ, great footwork and punch variety, extremely smooth and fluid in his movement for a big man and just a supremely talented boxer with beautiful skills. I will and have done so numerous times already become an instant fan of any current fighter who praises or is complimentary about Usyk
Usyk caught Joshua after he transformed from NoFear to Fear. Great timing and excellent boxing skills. I don't think he would beat the Joshua that fought Whyte or Wlad. And if he goes against a big guy that isn't afraid........
Well you are only partially right. Uysk caught Joshua at the right time. You are wrong about about fighting a big guy who isn't afraid Usyk is 6'3 220 pounds. Despite ESPN acting like you have to be 6'7 to be heavyweight champion this isn't the case. Andy Ruiz is 6'0 tall and beat Joshua. Alexander Povetkin is 6'1 220 and was heavyweight champion. Once you are around 6'1/6'2 plus and over 200 pounds you are big enough to be a heavyweight.
Usyk beating Joshua. Lol now casual fans and or biased boxing fans act like Usyk is something special. Even against Joshua he didn't look impressive. Joshua just looked bad. Usyk landed 20 something percent of his punches against a slow stationary target. That is pitiful .
Usyk is the best boxer in the last 5 years. Yes there are a few more technically superior, plenty with one shot power, but he’s the full package. His mentality is second to none (you reading this Mikey Garcia). Loma, Usyk, Inoue will go down in history as the best of their generation, irrespective of any losses accrued.
The fact that he did it within 19 fights just how much faith his promoters had in him and how commited they were to backing him.
