I think the Atomic Bull deserves this title. He has never been hurt or had a concussion, can take any punch and knock out people with both fists. I think a game Mccall can beat any heavyweight today and for the past 20 years. Thoughts?

Mccall is very difficult to rate. Because of his chin he seems mentally very strong, yet he broke down against Lewis and is said to have mental problems.

In the end, it's difficult to see how great he could have been. We can only see what he's done and what he will do, and he's not getting better from this point on -- only worse.

Had a good laugh when I read your daring statement.Obviously you havent seen Gomez's encounter with McCall, have you!
Gomez easily outpointed that slow and lethargic vet before he ran out of gas in the later rounds.McCall looked horrible against Gomez.
Well, props to McCall for defeating tough but limited Sinan Samil Sam.
However, that doesnt mean that he is a serious threat to any of the present top guns. Not at all!

In my opinion, McCall hasn't the skills of "real" world class heavies.

Ok.. so that is why he is back at number3 in the WBC ratings with a chance of a title fight within 18 months.

Didn't you see him beat Akinwande, Sam and Saleta..........

He is back.. go wipe your glasses clean..

    Underrated for sure.......:good

The way he can still compete at top ten level makes him a winner in my book..

The way he's been able to comeback from such deep drug problems...and seems such a rational, intelligent interview these days, which is so trippy...is what impresses me most.

He's a slow mover, a slow starter, his handspeed is only average and he can't fight at the same pace he used to. That's the bad news.

The good, everyone knows about...good power and still an amazing chin, very physically strong, plus lots of experience.

If Olly can get his opponents into trading with him, he has as good a chance of winning as anyone out there and that makes him a viable contender. Good on the guy, it's been a weird ride.

Mcall is a tough guy, and its nice to see him clean and off drugs. He has good overall skills, good jab, and right hand and rock solid chin. That can take you far in era of boxing. I would like to see him fight Wlad next, because it will be interesting to see how Wlad fights against a guy that keeps coming throwing wild right hands.

he was a prime mike tyson sparring partner and the only one rooney could depend on to have tyson rumble with, his loses came solely from his inactivity in the ring as in going through the motions of sparring and not really throwing to much, this guy cannot be hurt, he took out lewis in 2 rounds, if his personal life and motivation were under wraps he would have been a much bigger name, the fact that you can knock someone out and punch hard gets you very far and on top of that, there is really no one else out there right now in present boxing that can take a shot as good as he can,

McCall is good but terribly slow. He has beaten up on a lot of bums and has beens lately with the exception of Sam. McCall is a tough fighter but he is primed to get taken out when he steps up.
