Golota was bigger, more skilled, and nastier. McCall had a much better chin. Both had memorable breakdowns in the ring. Who would win this championship of Chicago?

Golota blows a comfortable lead and gets stopped late.

Haha great match up, actually think that Mccall would get frustrated mid rounds like he did in Lewis and Holmes fights and break down making for once Golota on the opposite, normal side :D

It's a tough call, I know. I guess I lean towards McCall getting to him late.

I think Golata does well in this fight, I believe he'll control it with his jab and stiff right hands. Mccall will try and march through but finds Golata s jab constantly in his face. It'll be a unanimous Dec and one of Golata s best performance s

This fight was seriously discussed, in their respective Indian summers.

A true Battle of Chicago! It's a shame this encounter was never made. It would have been epic. It would have still been very possible for promoters to make this fight in 2005. I would have loved to see it instead of Brewster-Golota, which was no battle but a very short night. McCall-Golota would have lasted far longer and would have been far more entertaining. Golota would have given a far better account of himself against "The Atomic Bull" than he did against Brewster. In terms of who would have won, it would largely depend on when and where the fight took place, what the stakes were, and who the favorite was (IMO pressure would have gotten to Andrew if he was favored to win; he performed much better as an underdog just like most Polish athletes).

By the way, I heard Oliver is still active these days? Is this true, and if so, when is his next fight?

McCall is my favorite to win, he had everything to match golotta but he had a better will to win, even though he literally started crying when he fought lennox, what brought that about btw why did he freak out like That?

Golota at his best has impressed me more than McCall. If he can keep his head straight for the duration he should win this. However, out of the two, McCall is incredibly durable and Golota got aggravated when the other guy didn't drop and kept firing back. I know this is almost a cliche, when it comes to Golota, but I'd expect him to blow an early lead by late DQ due to foul tactics.

If we're comparing "average" versions, then McCall might just grind Golota out.
