Patterson isn't stopping McCall but he could outbox him to a decision. McCall isn't outboxing Patterson but he could stop him. Who you got?

Floyd's ridiculous hand speed sees him through.

Well…Floyd isn’t knocking Oliver out. And if McCall lands a bomb similar to the one that he put Lewis down with it might be over. Patterson has a chance of winning a decision but he’d be walking a very narrow line. Probably not the kind of fight that Cus would put him in unless a title and a lot of money were at stake

Patterson would be wise enough to play it safe, but still... That may not be enough. McCall shook Tyson and had the ability to knock him down in sparring sessions, and if he fires off his right hand he very well may blow Floyd out of the waters.

I thought the story was McCall was the only guy who was never dropped by Tyson, but that's all I know

I'm pretty sure that both him and Greg Page dropped him in sparring, I know there's footage on YouTube of one of them dropping Tyson, but I don't recall who it was. There is also footage of McCall shaking up Tyson with a right that is easily found.

As long as McCall is focused, he stops Patterson.

Better chin, faster, more skilled, and a lot more dangerous. The only thing that's contentious here is power, but who knows.

Yeah Greg Page was the infamous "oh ****" moment of that camp before Douglas but I don't recall McCall dropping him but I'll search around. Best I could find. I think he let Tyson work out of it, which is a good thing of a sparring partner to do. So I'll count it in my book.

Also McCall would find and KO Patterson imo. Patterson isn't strong enough to withstand sustained offense from McCall. If we are talking "off" McCall vs. "on" Patterson, then Floyd wins clearly, but when McCall was right he was damn good

But McCall didn't KO 45 year old Holmes. Prime Patterson would be a different beast.
