The latest on big Larry: http://britishboxingnews.com/olubamiwo-splits-from-maloney-fighting-on-warren-show-this-saturday/ His opponent doesn't seem to be a soft touch either, having went the distance with Gerber and beat German prospect Krull: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=424244&cat=boxer Thoughts? :think
Well Warren won the purse bids for that fight and it was going to be on this Saturday's card, but then no news really came out. It always looked like Larry was going to split from Maloney though once the rumours appearing.
It's the right move for him. At least this way he's in with a chance of getting some good fights..... Maloney has too many heavies and doesn't seem to want to match any of them. This way he's got a chance of fighting Sexton, Rogan and Fury. Will be interested to see how he goes on Saturday.
Would have said this move seemed crazy a year ago but credit to them- look what they did for chisora.
Wonder how far Frank thinks he can go? Hopefully we get some decent domestic HW fights over the next few years.
Theres a good mix of domestic class heavies at the moment. I just hope we get to see the fights unlike a few years back when we had a great domestic 154lb division and hardly any of the fights ended up coming off.
The guy is 9-1-0 against guys with a combined record of 38-235-6 and that's including someone on debut
Roll on the Warmachine. Larry has huge power if he can hone his skills he can give them all a fright.
