A bit dramatic to say he floored him twice or talk that up as a highlight. Both times were disputed by the Showtime commentators (specifically Farhood) and in both cases it's hard to argue that there is at least room to question their legitimacy. The first especially was a slapping right hook to the shoulder/back of the head that Chebah complained was a rabbit punch (and slow motion replays seemed to give his gripe substance). All in all, still an excellent performance & win for Olusegun. He "boxed" in a few rounds in his own unique way, but mostly took it to the guy billed as the puncher in the match-up and really lay a beating on him much of the time.
Antonio Tarver: (Ajose is) a real beast has all the tools and if he keeps that work rate it's gonna be hard for anyone to beat him. :bbb
Olu G your man seems to have got a lot of praise for his victory congrats he waited long enough fighting bums dan rafael "Good fight. Ajose with clear decision and now mandatory. No way does Morales fight this beast."
Congrats Olu!..glad to hear he won well, and decisively...enjoy the celebrations!..i hope theres redbreast or black bush whiskey and sexy women involved!!! :hey If its not rude to ask, whos on the radar, for Ajose's next fight, or next couple of fights?
A good win for Ajose who was both exciting and effective. Seems like he might finally get some momentum with his career and I wish him all the best for the future :good
Judging by your comments about Ajose not surprised you will pick Morales. You will find out soon enough. Either Morales fights him or he has to give up the belt because either way Ajose is fighting for the prestigious WBC title and he will not be denied.
Ajose is and has always been an exciting fighter. There is a reason he was avoided heavily in the UK. No one really wanted to fight him including the likes of Witter and Hatton over the years nor does Khan. My greatest regret is that the US move was not made years ago. Ajose is the real deal and he maintains his part by just winning.
WBC world title fight next against Morales if he is game or someone else as Ajose cannot be denied his title shot.
Congratulations are in order for Ajose, I always thought that he was talented but I just got so frustrated watching him fight to the level of his opposition and languish in the UK. Erik Morales will not fight him and I do not blame Morales; he is a fricking legend and has paid his dues, he needs to just cash in on the major fights. One fight I would like for Ajose would be a matchup against Maidana because their styles will gel and I think it will be a good benchmark to see what Ajose can do. If Ajose was to do a number on Maidana then that could be the springboard to money and opportunity. Olu I have to give you the utmost respect for sticking in there through thick and thin. :hey:hey:hey:smoke
Should be Morales really unless he ducks Ajose and gives up the belt. Maidan a will not be a bad match up in styles. Reckon Ajose will do a better job than that idiot Khan who is really getting on my nerves with his delusions.
Weigh in, Brits. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=10862566 Almost nobody on the General Forum is going to have as much insight on Olusegun as those of you who've followed his domestic progress these last few years. Voice your thoughts on this match-up, or just demand that it be made. The top contender has waited long enough, and the champion has nothing to lose by giving him his day in the sun (except the prospect of earning a fortune getting embarrassed by a Khan/Matthysse/Bradley).
