Lee is no xenophobe. He laughs at delusional claims not a different accent. You're out of order with that claim.
Lets stop all this race card crap and political, I know it all preaching nonsense lets stick to boxing. The bottom line is this Ojose chap and his management team have been talking BS for his whole career. Basically embarassing themselves in the process. Its nothing to do with race, if you are a twat you are a twat and that is exactly how his team come across. Stop calling out the like of Witter and Hatton if you are not going to back your talk, regardless of what people think of these guys they ahve earned the stripes. If Ojose really wants to make a name for himself he should shut the **** up get his head down and fight some decent opposition. Then he will find that the top top World Class opponents, money and fame will evetually come. Dont shoot off your mouth with nothing to back it up apart from a shitty Commenwealth belt. Tool.
Godfather I know you think you are a tough guy and you made be intimidated by Witter and Hatton but we are not. We are in this game to be the best period and we are ready and more important willing to take on whoever. You obviously have no respect for international titles which says a lot about you.
No disrespect intended but as a fan I have respect for titles and fighters that are WORTHY. I know you are trying to big up your fighter but for those who have been in this game for a long time know the Commenwealth belt aint ****. The thing about you lot is you do alot of talking but as boxing fans we dont see no goods from your fighter. The guy has been around for sooo long and we aint seen no real goods compared to all your rambling and talking. Like I said back it up son. When you apparently had the chance to fight Witter back in the day what happened?? As usual jack ****.
Olu, you look far to deep into things. Don obviously don't give a **** for the Commonwealth title either, which proves he's not bothered about where the title comes from be it the Welsh, African or Commonwealth he's more concerned with the level of fighter challenging for the belt - as it should be in my opinion. Stop looking for hidden meanings all of the time.
Godfather when Witter was the Commonwealth champion we became the mandatory contender for his title but unfortunately he saw the Bradley Pryce fight as did Hatton who were both with Sports Network at the time. Sports Network thought they were bringing just an opponent to lose at the last minute when we took the fight. Witter will claim he gave up the Commonwealth belt to fight for the world title but the truth is for 2 years we were denied our shot at him. Late last year it looked like we could finally get it on with Witter. Once our promoter made them a counter offer they never came back that is what happened because they have never fancied. It makes me laugh when Witter claims Hatton has been avoiding him the cheeky bugger.
Olu why didn't you keep Ajose in Africa they get a hell of a lot more title shots over there. The IBF rate African fighters very high and usually put them in title fights. Was just wondering as in the UK Witter and Hatton were already on the World scene and you didn't really have a hope of tempting them into a fight.
LHL I think when my colleagues 1st brought Ajose over here Hatton and Witter actually were similarly on the way up not established on the world scene though clearly there were plans for them especially Hatton as regards Sports Network. You may have a point as in the past guys remaining in Africa had got world title shots not that often mind you. I remember Obisia Nwakpa get a world title shot that went the whole 15 rounds against Saoul Mamby in Lagos Nigeria then again the gifted Jonathan Dele who was ranked as high as number in the WBC world ratings Arican and Commonwealth Lightweight Champion who beat Jim Watt clearly in 1974 I think it was, never got a title shot. Whereas Jim Watt ended up fighting for and winning the world title. I agree mistakes had been made which we all recognise especially when amateur class mates from the Sydney Olympics such as roommate Sam Peters, Jermain Taylor, Jeff Lacy, Miguel Cotto et al have won and lost world titles.
:good Cheers for reading. I was just wondering because even now the amount of IBF title fights in the lower weights with South African fighters is big. I'm not saying they don't deserve it as when they fight they all look like top fighters.
I think your point is excellent about South African fighters fighting for the IBF title. The political connections are obviously important. Sports Network for instance seem to be able to have a direct line to the WBO.
