What does it prove?? Pretty much every fighter that became a top level world champion was fighting at least 10 times in there first 18 months as a pro, and Top Rank, the best promoter in the history of the sport in terms of building champions (as fighters and attractions) are using this same policy for there number 1 prospect.

Where are these testing fights that your speaking about? I have not seen them tested once in 18 months as a pro.

this is the level these guys were at after 18 months.

Nigel Benn - 18 - Commonwealth Champion 4 defences
Lennox Lewis - 15 - European and British Champion, had made US debut
Floyd Mayweather - 17 - Next fight was for a world title
Shane Mosley - 15 - Fought for a world title 3 months later
Ray Leonard - 14 - World champion a year later.
Mike Tyson - 26 - Next fight was for a world title
De La Hoya - 14 - Already a world champion

How is DeGale 2 fights away from a domestic title? Who has he faced that says he is ready to beat Paul Smith or George Groves?

DeGale and Gavin are just going to end up like Kevin Mitchell. Will fight for a world title without even being tested as domestic level and will end up getting smashed to pieces.

Also when did I bring up Bellew and Cleverly???

I brought up Bellew and Cleverly seeing as they are a decent level to compare them to and not ATG's.

Again Benevidez could have up to 15 fights before he meets someone worth mentioning. While the the UK doesn't have an endless amount of untesting fighters.

With 10 fights no matter the quality Degale and Gavin will be high up in their respective divisions and could be in a world of trouble for untested fighters. Is he ready for Smith or Groves probably not but what makes Groves a stand out with 2 fights more? Shouldn't he be on 12 or 14 fights if he is to be an atg?

The testing fighters for domestic level which are better than the usually latvians or Lithuanians his last two fights have been a step in the right direction for Degale not a leap but it showed he can deal with domestic contenders.

Also Gavin in with Saville and McDonagh (also wasn't he supposed to be in with someone good in his last fight?) with 4 or 5 fights not the usual test for a brit prospect i'm glad warren is by passing the likes of fighters Maloney brings in for Tony Jefferies.

Also I'd say there is more fighters in double figures who are prospects who won't go half as far as Degale or Gavin.

Why? There are plenty of other cards/ dates for these guys to fight on, they just arn't doing it.
