I kept hearing Joshua was robbed in the WC's though. He was out on his feet for half the final. He lost fair imo. Thought he lost by a few points. Anyone wants to see it it's on youtube.
Complete bollocks in this thread. A fighter wins a close fight and you disagree with the result=a robbery. Pathetic. Grow up. BTW one of the British cycling teams who were favourite to win the gold medal have just been DQ'd even though the judges had the option to keep them in.
Appearantly the judges ****ed up the countback it was'nt 52-52 it was actually 52-53 in favour of the ukrainian http://www.london2012.com/boxing/event/men-middle-75kg/match=bxm075401/index.html count the scores for yourself
Its amateur scoring, seriously they were close fights It doesnt help both brits have been put up on a pedastool so if they underperform or are in a close fight people are bound to say they are **** If it helps I was very impressed with Savon and both fighters deserve credit for putting on a fantastic fight
Thats not how the countback totals are worked out. They tally the 3 most similar total scores, not the individual round scores.
Khytrov dominated Ogogo. I was shocked to see Ogogo was ahead. I'd venture to see Kytrov landed more clean body-shots than Ogogo landed punches. Khytrov blocked and rolled with so many shots and rocked Ogogo. He definitely landed far more punches. The amateur scoring system sucks but even that can't be blamed in an awful decision. Ogogo didn't win under any system. What I'm finding interesting is Ukraine & Russian fighters seem to have half their fighters fight like a Klitschko and another half fight more like Mike Tyson. It's interesting. Kytrov's a tank. He's got some promise and I'm definitely a fan (Hey but I thought Americans just hated all Eastern Europeans K fans?).
Man.. Other posters are saying it was a close fight then other guys are saying it was disgraceful robbery. I have not seen the fight myself and find this interesting...
