No, it's actually one of the best teams in years. Rau'shee Warren and Demetrius Andrade will in all likelihood medal, and probably win Gold; Raynell Williams could medal and win Gold, and Deontay Wilder could possibly medal as well.

Don't know enough about them, but I would think if he has the draw Boonjumnong or whatever his name is, the 69kg boxer, could medal. Doubt he'll win Gold though, he already got beat by Demetrius Andrade once.

well the games are well on the way and the whipped cream of the crop have come to fruition.
i was annoyed out how all the othe rolympic threads are about specific points I.E. ugas's china chin (rather fitting, due to it being in beijing), "Wow Andrade won his last fight" etc etc.
and as we are the foremost forum of boxing. i feel it should be fitting that we have an official thread.
i will add information and links about the boxing and maybe taekwondo if i have the time. judo has practically finished so psssh.
well people at wikipedia have joined forces with nbc,bbc and the olympic commitee to create a decent log of fights.

True, he was getting roughed up pretty good by Adrade before he got injured. Apparently there's two Boonjumong whos at Lt. Welter and he was the previous Gold Medalist in Athens. Hopefully he'll be able to get gold

Thailand is pretty damn good at boxing. Impressive, since I would imagine Muay Thai is far more popular there.
