Not sure if anyone saw this but an attempted Mike Tyson by Youness Baalla (MOR) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/57981674 Todays highlights: Lauren Price (GB) vs Myagmarjargal Munkhbat (Mongolia) Ben Whittaker (GB) vs Abdelrahman Salah AbdelGawwad (EGY) Kariss Artingstall (GB) v Skye Nicolson (AUS): https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/57996341
Can't believe that the Kazakh number 1 seed at Light Heavyweight got beat. I think Whittaker should get to the final now, although Khataev is very good. Artingstall has done really well, she is guaranteed a bronze and beat the Commonwealth Games gold medalist. I don't think anyone expected her to medal as well, congratulations to her. I'm really looking forward to Luke McCormack fighting Andy Cruz, I think McCormack will push Cruz all the way.
Rice was being overrated by the BBC before her fight v the Mongolian despite dominating, she was pretty eay to hit and her punch technique is poor.
iPlayer replay for Clarke (GB) v Rogava (UKR) action starts at 1:37 https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episo...ed-button-04000800?seriesId=b00cmh07-19-day-6
Might be a bit late on this one and apologies if it's already been asked but why have they got rid of being able to see the point scoring? I was watching the taekwondo and it was very exciting seeing the points on the screen, going into the last rounds. Just realised they got rid of the headguards aswell. I'm so out of touch with Olympic boxing lol.
Due to the amount of robberies (and shots not being scored) the entire amateur boxing scoring was over-hauled to the standard 10-9 system. In the Olympics there are 5 judges for each bout and the final score is reflected in how many judges have gone for the winner, a split decision being either 3-2 or 4-1 and unanimous 5-0. They do however tell you after every round how many judges have gone for you.
He`s not good enough for the pros, you need head movement a d to be setting your shots up with feints etc.
