I favour Niyaz, not a fan of Mammadov - I find him quite a phoney Reminds me of Tischenko and Dychko, not a fan of any of them. Fights tall...but still not as skilled as I'd like them to be.

 

Agreed I don't favour that style either (see my Tishchenko scores )

Mammadov has stamina issues too. Niyaz silver seems likely to me. Poor guy.

 

Nice to see Canada's lone Olympic rep for the men, Artur Byarslanov, get the win in his opening match.

 

The chechen wolf is pretty good but i don't think he will beat Toledo this time around.

I was laughing hard at that. Yeraliyev is a quality fighter. That was a rubber match against Chalabiyev who previously beat him in the World Amateur Championships in 2013. Yeraliyev beat Robeisy Ramirez in that tournament.

Chalabiyev was made to look average despite being a World Gold Medalist.

 

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately he looks a little too raw. Toledo is just too good for him by my first impression, but Arthur beat Toledo once in 2015. (Toledo when he's off his game has lost to fighters he shouldn't have).

 

Looks a bit clumsy and weird, but very effective

I thought the Finnish woman won rather comfortably, don't know how one judge managed to give that to the Brazilian.
