The robberies have been pretty blatant. and beyond explanation. Did someone miss a payment to the olympic committee
so far only the quarterfinals have been worth watching. prelim fights or pretty one sided for the most part.
Man, shw is shaping up great. You have Dychko-Madjidov next, and then in the semis we'll most likely get Hrgovic-Yoka, 4 great talents, although now I see why you guys here were so high on Hrgovic.
Yes, but that was unexplainable though. Nistor was pounding be Jordanian, who to his credit was tough, but still how do you win a round where you were given multiple standing 8s?
I just watched the Yoka-Clayton fight. I didn't know produced super heavyweight boxers, let alone boxers. lol
I have to go to church tomorrow, so I'll miss the quarterfinals. Who you got between La Cruz and Borges?
Did anyone see the Iglesias - Giyasov fight? The Cuban got 3-0'd. The Rabii - Giyasov fight will be interesting.
Yup. The British commentators thought Iglesias won, I completely disagree with that. Giyasov was the effective aggressor and was landing more good punches overall (although the very best punches were landed by Iglesias, but were far too few). Mohammed Rabii is just a joy to watch. Something about him reminds me of Oscar De La Hoya.
Very surprised that you thought Melikuziev won against Lopez last year. He's very, very fun to watch. Yeah, the possibilities for Melikuziev is incresible. He is a very thudding puncher. Painful.
The Jordanian was tough and was putting in good work, he hits hard himself (I want to see him go down to Heavy because he looked too small for Super Heavy and let's face it he was far too fat lol). Nistor is such a brutal fighter. He steamrolled Anthony Joshua from what I remember. Definitely deserved the decision. I want Nistor to turn pro and mash everybody up. Because I was supporting the Jordanian, it was actually the most gripping fight of the tournament, I was jumping around at one point.
