The Alimkhanuly-Shaksuvarly fight = FED UP of fixes. This is pathetic. Had it clearly 2-1 to Alimkhanuly.

Antonio Vargas = same problem as World Silver Medalist Egorov. So much talent, not a structured gameplan or important experience that fighters like them in particular require.

Upset over Rabii only getting Bronze (for him). Giyasov = a brilliant tournament. Definitely beat Roniel Iglesias in my eyes.
Rabii was just too slow, much slower than he used to be.
Giyasov definitely earned his Silver/Gold medal (I don’t see him beating Yeleussinov).

Mbilli deserved the first round vs Arlen Lopez. Mbilli is awesome but Arlen could've done better in victory.

No clear tournament standouts other than Dusmatov and Buatsi. They're no Lomachenko, SRL, RJJ etc.
La Cruz looked a bit meh so far.

 

Is she past prime now? I didn't see the fight. The trainer apparently thought it was a robbery. Was it? Also, she was 3rd in World Amateur Championships. A significant underachievement for her lol.

 

Giyasov definitely earned his Silver/Gold medal you must be joking, was given a gift over iglesias with ron macintosh and woohall couldn't believe the scoring, that's been one of the worst decisions of the tournament, if you gave that to giyasov you need to stay well away from boxing, coming forward getting picked off doesn't mean you should win the round, it's about who's more effective, and iglesias won every round of the fight, if you checked social media there was uproar over that decision, staniolis also alot thought beat giyasov

 

Yeah, I disagreed with their scoring. It was a very close fight but definitely a Giyasov victory. I couldn't care less for a few Tom, **** and Harrys on social media, I'm more legit than any of them combined. I would state the same of you if you think it's a 'gift'. In any case, not bothered with your attitude like that Pork and Wine weirdo was. This is Olympic Boxing, it's nice enough that there are posters interested in it rather than some poor-skilled pro bouts claiming to be 'world championship' fights. Let's just keep it civil. :good

 

Alimkhanuly was a standout thought he won 2-1 aswell, lopez is a standout, but the best boxer in the tournament is la cruz he's definitely better than loma aswell

You could tell she was the better boxer, but the Finnish girl was aggressive and that seemed to win over the judges
