    Disgraceful headbutt. Luckily justice prevailed.

I said it before, but La Cruz would be a world champion if he went pro.

He's on another level than the other amateurs.

cruz is probably the best boxer amateur or pro, if you were to put the likes of kovalev in with cruz, no way could i see kovalev coming near him, he's the most gifted boxer I've ever seen, one of the lads seen him in person and sparring here in ireland, literally floats over the canvas, did a pull back move where his back nearly touched the canvas he leaned that far back, freakish balance and skill, best I've ever seen

Even with removed headgear and a new point system, amateur boxing is still kind of boring.

Give me the pros any day.

Does anyone even really care who won a medal? Everyone knows the pros are all that matter.

got to be honest it's been pretty boring so far, and far too much controversy robberies and poor judging, the pros is way appealing from a tv point of view and over 12 rounds robberies are less frequent

Honestly, I doubt anyone remembers who won a medal in the Olympics in any event.

Oh, you won a gold medal? That's nice. That medal should come in handy when you have to pawn it off when you're desperate for money. Otherwise, it doesn't do anything besides look nice, and maybe get you laid.

The problem with Uzbek and Kazakh fighter is that most of them get a good positions after wining and earn good money and in most cases they loose interest and don't turn pro.

It has been changed after GGG, but still a lot of them who have potential don't turn pro

shame what those judges did to savon beat levitt and should be the gold medalist, levitt dominating tischenko so far

Levitt is a nightmare for that slappy style tischenko is using, baffled as to why a 6'5 guy will not throw a strong jab against a smaller opponent
