I don't think Stevenson will have much trouble with Nikitin.

Nbc commentators have explicitly said that no one knows the results except for them and the tv audience, they do not announce the scores in between rounds.

What they do is, they have 5 judges, and then a computer randomly selects only 3 of the 5 to be used officially.

Neither do I. The problem is that Butdee and Conlan didn't have too much trouble with him either. They had trouble with the judges.

All of the attention Nikitin has had so far may keep the judges a bit more honest, particularly now that the Russian has a medal. There will be a certain amount of additional pressure not to award a really blatant robbery.

butdee beat nikitin and was barely hit, conlan won but get tagged alot there, think stevenson can probably stop nikitin tbh and probably would beat conlan

I believe you that NBC commentators said that. But they are wrong. The boxers, teams and audience are not hermetically sealed from the rest of the world. They know the scores.

Betting is the main reason. The nationalism as a reason is meaningless here.

You've said that a couple of dozen times on this thread. It doesn't get more convincing with repetition, although you do seem to have convinced yourself as you've gone from "probably" to "would" in the space of two posts.

In my view it was one of the most interesting prospective match ups in the tournament and I'm irritated that we now won't see them fight each other until years into their pro careers if at all. Instead this limited Russian lump continues his losing streak into the semis.

you'll see the difference with stevenson vs nikitin, stevenson probably won't get dragged in like conlan did

shocked how melian even qualified, i fear for the judging of akmadaliev vs ramirez, these uzb seem to be given alot of gifts as well, ramirez destroyed him recently in wsb

Take a bow Akhmadaliev. Should technically pose problem for Stevenson.

How Stevenson fights him will depend on how the judges score the first round, which on the evidence so far isn't something the boxer can control. If he is given the first, he will cruise it.
