Exactly, the scoring in the first two was really poor. Joshua edging it going into the last which he won. The Savon fight was a robbery, this was a very close but deserved win for Joshua.
I think a lot of Brits could be cringing about a couple of bad decisions earlier on and its left them rather defensive about any close fights. Rather proved to be fair and honest than succesful.
He says he'll stay as an amateur but I doubt he will- Joshua will likely turn pro within a year. Likely with Hearn if he has any sense.
I thought Joshua lost the first and second rounds far more clearly than the judges had it. He won the third. I wont say it was a robbery but I thought Camarelle won by 3 or 4. Joshua is a good raw talent though. He has a lot of potential.
Some people don't understand the difference between a decision they disagree with and a robbery. Not to mention the difference between corruption and incompetence. Haven't been able to watch a single fight unfortunately well done Joshua from what I've heard hes got a good head on his shoulders if he can keep that it'll help a lot.
****ing brits on the general forum and **** saying this is 'disgraceful' and they feel 'embarrassed'. Sad twats. That fight could have gone either way, no way was Cam 3 up after two and Joshua won the 3rd round BIG.
I had Joshua losing the first round by more than 1 point, he is lucky to be given the win. its a bit of a farce that as soon as the bell rang i knew Joshua had won it on Countback, whatever the **** that is.
He will need to be fed a steady stream of Latvian pole vaulters in the pros for sure. He's won gold and Ive not been the slightest bit impressed by him.
Can't see it happening does he really want to wait 4 more years of dodgy decisions and all the Amateur bull**** for no money? why stay AM for a year then turn pro for half the money? Nah hell be pro within 4weeks
Joshua knew he'd won it, which is why I stuck £20 on him at 3.3 after the final bell. Recouped my losses as I layed him after the Cuban fight.
Yep i can't believe people are ignoring the fact that he should have lost the 1st round by more points. The medal win is tainted because of this fight and especially the fight with Savon, the fact is that Joshua shouldn't have even won Bronze let alone Gold as he clearly lost his 1st round fight.
That's why he should go with him in my opinion- Frank has Chisora, Henessey has Fury and Hatton has errrm Towers. My only concern would be how he would be matched in his first few fights.
Thought Joshua won the fight 2 rounds to 1, pretty close. Wish the idiots would stop saying Cammarelle won just becuase of that Savon fight. Sad.
