Audley Harrison 2000 would of pinged Joshua around the ring... David Haye even though he was not a superheavyweight would of probably been too fast, too much movement and would of knocked him out.
Co- Sign- 3 minutes 3 rounds with head gear kind of shields you from lacking a boxing heart and being scared of digging down in the trenches when hurt.:good
I really don't think you can accuse Joshua of not digging down when needed, he did that in the shedloads today!!
Audley Harrison problem is that he is too much his own man. He does not like anybody telling him what to do, during the amateurs..? He had no choice about his training and preparation, during the amateurs most fighters are in better physical and psychological condition than they will ever be as a porfessional fighter. It's military styled training and discipline all year round and its even more intense if you are a member of the GB squad. When fighters turn pro, most of them are burnt out from this amateur lifestyle. They love not having to train week in week out, and love just setting up camp 10-6 weeks out from a professional fight. Audley Harrison deteriorated as a professional fighter, he was a big massive fat **** in his first professional fight, and there has only been afew times i have seen him in his amateur condition. The lifestyle of a amateur fighter in so many ways is more professional than 90% of the professional fighters out there. If Audley Harrison would of done a Carl Froch and just stayed on the amateur campus training with their work ethic and using their facilities. He would of a had a more successful professional career..... But Audley Harrison decided to do everything himself, he is a intelligent man and has a degree in sports science. He probably decides ultimately what type of training routines he will do, and to what extent. He probably questions his trainers too much, abit like Chris Eubank but..? He is no Chris Eubank. He lost discipline and lost that amateur Spartan like mindset. And i honestly don't have a clue how he thinks he will beat David Price, for him to stand a chance! he has to! has to! Take it back to the amateurs.......
Agree here, Harrison would have outboxed him BUT Joshua potential is huge and he is more of a 'fighter' whereas Audley is a 'boxer'. If Josh goes with a A.Booth or Tibbs or even get Steward he could learn hugely to go with that raw talent. Think of 4 or 5 more years of experience and skill learning...he is only 22.
Audley Harrison destroyed himself, and he knows this. Totally wrong approach to the professional ranks, lost that amateur discipline, just cannot be told what to do. Look at David Haye..? Adam Booth was their from the amateur ranks. What a shame Audley, what a shame!
Exactly. He could have boxed a lot worse than that and still got the nod. Obvious his name was on the medal after the Savon fight.
