stuck a fiver on hartel before the fight, and halfway through stuck the 18 i won from ogogo on as well, up 50 quid, nice ten mins work
Although it was closer than Savon vs Joshua, I felt the Ukranian clearly beat Ogogo. Was he hitting Anthony's gloves a lot ?, yes a hell of a lot, did Ogogo land a lot of his counters clean ?, yes he landed plenty of them....... However that ignores the fact the Ukranian was still catching Ogogo clean to both body and head with great frequency, and imo won the 2nd by more than 1 and won the 3rd bar far more than 1. I normally like to see GB boxers do well at International tournaments, but these home town decisions could really put me off them.
Just put 20 pound on Dychko to win gold super heavy @9/1 Vijender & Valentino double (only small) Hartel was so easy, wish I knew before hand Hartel was beating up O'Neill in sparring would've whacked a 100 on the german
wasnt that much of a robbery. Although the length of time it took to get the final score was suspicious...
Kytrov is a machine, can't wait till he turns pro. He'll give us some great fights. To me that was a close fight that could have gone either way. What might have gone against Khytrov was a lot of his best work was done up close in combinations whereas Ogogo landed a lot of eye-catching counters from range.
O'Neill was poor. Standing infront of the big German, receiving those heavy shots to the body were strange tactics. Just saw Wash's quotes in the Irish News. He hardly sounded confident in O'Neill TBH
He was good and you can tell he carries a lot of power, but he could do with getting his shots of faster..
Just overall the talent pool at these games is significantly better than at 2008. Think we'll see a lot more successful pros emerge from these games.
