I think Brian Nielson had a pretty respectable career for a fat white guy, even though he didnt fight the greatest comp.

This is true, and one of the reasons Evander wanted Bowe for his defense. He had sparred with Bowe many times and found Bowe to give up quickly in sparring.

Ingomar Johannsen. He was seen as a bit of a disgrace after the olympics and then became a national hero by beating Patterson.

Virgil Hill wasnt hyped up like his teamates and was in the background coming up, but I think he made a good career for himself and probably will get in the HOF someday.

They said David Reid would never have a good career with his drooping eye and he managed to win the WBA title.

Maybe I shouldn't say because I wasn't around at the time, but it seems from what I've heard that a lot of people watching George Foreman in the Olympics thought he would always be too rough and limited to be a top notch pro.

beaten by duane bobick, but it was hardly a disgrace as he'd only had about 20 fights.
ingemar johannson is the obvious one.getting thrown out of the ring for not trying against american ed sanders.
