You're misinformed. But that's just the misconception most pro boxing fans have of amateur boxing.

I know that they are. I've been around pro boxing, and I compete in amateur boxing.

I'd rather be the undisputed champion of the world. Olympic boxing has become largely a joke.

The gold has to mean more. Also the gold is a good thing for earning money and marketing at first. If you say does a gold medal do more than one title, probably so if you are a Duran or Hearns who had so many titles-a gold would have been nice to thier collection. Sort of like Kobe and Labron having the gold now, although I am not saying winning a gold in boxing is the same as in basketball since boxing is individual-a boxing gold has to mean more than a basketball title. But yes a gold means more than one world title. But not more than an undisputed title.

The Linear World champion, it's when you get paid and are remembered for.

As a personal treasure, it would be the gold medal. If I was concerned about leaving a mark on the sport and creating a lasting legacy, I would rather be the undisputed champion.
