You are right, I don't know why people see much difference between ams and pros, looks the same to me. To be honest, I think there are many ams better than any pros!
Gold Medals you have to earn. - Ali, Lewis, Klitschko, Foreman, Frazier, Patterson, ODLH, SRL, You can talk your way into a World Championship and have it gifted to you. - Haye, Chavez Jr, Canelo, Judah, Valuev
Exactly, the number one p4p amateur Vasyl Lomachenko has more skills than any pro boxer and is a devastating body puncher. The top Cubans, Ukranians and Russians could probably win title belts in their first pro fights if they really wanted to.. Pernell Whitaker said it best when he said that his gold medal was the ultimate and everything else was just the cherry on top
Amateur boxing is the sport, the best fight the best. Pro boxing is a business, hype and marketing. Personally I love the sport.
An Olympic Gold medal is much better than a paper ABC belt. We have beltholders who are not top ten in their divisions. However, the Ring championship or linear title in a division is better than an Olympic Gold medal.
Charlie Zelenoff is a pro boxer... nuff said. Boxing isn't like other sports, being a 'Pro' doesn't require any skills or level of achievement, as long as you are healthy enough to take a beating in the ring then you can be a pro if you want to.
Dude was just the 140lb IBF champion after years of nothing, and suddenly fighting Kaizer Mabuza for the vacant title! GTFOH yourself.
