He was also the former undisputed welterweight Champion And fought for the undisputed light welterweight title GTFO
I'd rather be Floyd Mayweather then the 30 year old Eastern Europeans and Cubans who where head braces and where fights are scored by compubox.
I think there is more prestige in winning an Olympic medal as thats what most young aspiring boxers hope for when they first start
I would say Olympic gold but sadly I wouldnt be able to box for my country as Wales is forced to compete under Team GB so would go with winning the Ring title
because is a lot different since they changed the scoring system it has hurt the amteur boxing... while before you had robberies now you have guys that once they are ahead in the first round they refuse to keep fighting and hold on to the lead.... and a lot of the punches thrown are not even scored is sad to see and if you guys cant see it then you dont know much about boxing :hat
Defenetly an Olympic gold medal , pro champs tend to get forgoten over time ( unless of course you were a legend like Ali , Pac or Tyson ) . Peace .
And anyone can enter a marathon (expect for Boston) by filling out a form and paying an entry fee. However, to win or be compitive you have to be really good. The same goes for winning a world champinship. It takes skill, time and effort to do so. There are plenty of Charlie Zelenoff's who go into boxing none of them will ever come close to wining a world championship.
Olympic Gold.. A lot of professionals who've been to the Olympics will tell you that just making the team was one of, if not the main, highlight of their career. (e.g. RJJ)
