olympic medal-poisin chalice?????

    although our olympians have had mixed success in the pro ranks,surely the hype that comes with a pro debut is a hindrance[apart from being a millionaire after 5 bouts ,of course]and a hype that Audley could not match or live up to. Amir Khan ,without that olympic medal ,would be forgiven for a lot of his sins although his passage has been messy and that is partly down to bad management and not fighting for a domestic title.
    saying that i have high hopes for the 2008 lads my picks being DeGale and billie-joe

    Not much to do with medals, is it? They are freaks. One has an awful chin, the other is talented but lost his marble.

    true ,one has no chin and the other has no bollocks so lets hope the other lads do well

    I think the hypetrain is a big hindrance.

    A lot of the best Olympians of recent years had hypetrains, DLH for example - but at least they put in the groundwork first rather than cutting corners.
