Im not sure if you guys follow USA Boxing, but heres the result.
Rau'shee W made it again...lets hope he gets a gold this time.
Raynell Williams....I think he lost smh

Does anybody know what happened to Jessey Ramos...he was at lightweight last year and was doing good. I don't even see him ranked anymore.

Anyone seen any of this? I've heard mixed reviews on some of the fighters.

It is a shame that USA cant put together a decent boxing program. It is amazing that we even hold belts these days.

You have the talent, just not the proper coaching from a young age, I personally hope the USA pull together some decent improvements though:thumbsup

No, I mean that I hear some people saying how good the americans look this year and then the next guy says the opposite.

Lenroy Thompson for example- one report says hes a solid HW prospect next I hear hes mediocre trash.

Raushee better get a gold medal thats all I'm saying. You choose to stay amateur when people are offering you large money to go pro...he better ****ing win.

I never heard of Ramirez but hes got to be good with he beat Williams. Williams been running 141 lbs. for like the last 3-4 yrs. WTF happened!?!

Which is bizarre when you think about it. I mean we actually possess some really great professional trainers.

I can say this much at Mayweathers gym it is full of young kids. Roger trains a lot of youth.

The problem with the Olympics is the computer system...not our trainers or fighters.EVERYONE in the elite amatuers will tell you the samething. That system is tuff

Marcus Browne is a beast. IMO the scoring system needs some changes

My thought is the same old tried and true law of economics. Supply and demand. Demand for boxing in the USA as a sport is simply pretty low, especially at the ages boxers need to begin in order to hone their craft. Therefore the supply for trainers simply isnt very high.

I mean when i was in high school boxing was still somewhat prevalent. Then again I am from the midwest and a poor area. I bet this transition from the 60's to the present has seen a massive decline in the interest in the sport of boxing amongst the american populace.

When I go to boxing matches now the vast majority of the people there are hispanic. The change in the populace and demographic of the USA might bring boxing back as our culture changes from a more white dominated society to a more hispanic dominated society. Which in the case of boxing is a good thing.
