How good do you expect him to be considering he's not a gold medalist?

There are better looking prospects who didn't even medal like Felix Veredjo or Oscar Valdez who he beat in the Olympics

    Wtf?

Unless you have a gold medal you shouldn't be expected to demonstrate the slightest bit of technique instead of just windmillIing sloppy haymakers? :blood

I'm suprised a silvermedalist looks that open and throws that wide of punches. Realistically he's young and just starting so its call good but certainly he's a long way aware from being the finished product. GBP has signed him so I imagine they are going to really focus on his development. They'll put the right people around him.

I like him but he's been lifting his chin like crazy all through the amateurs.

Combined with this weird new bombing style he's playing with, I see a highlight reel KO in his future, with him being the recipient.

We should give him a chance to review tape and see what he brings in his sophomore effort.

If that pattern of sloppiness continues, the outlook is dim for him living up to his promise.

If he can settle down and tighten up...

He was probably looking to make a statement with the crowd pumped up for St. Patrick's Day in Boston and everything, and maybe he figured Candelaria would be a deer in headlights and easy pickings...but after that didn't work in the 1st or 2nd you would have thought Nevin would calm the hell down and throw some tidier straighter punches stepping properly into range beforehand. :conf

Instead he pulled the same enraged gorilla impression all night.
