I applied when they first went on sale for all rounds and got first second and quartes after how great it was im desperate to get hold of SEMIS and finale, i go to pro shows up and down the country and very rarely have i seen such a electric atmosphere
one thing that has impressed me of not only the boxing but the olympics as a whole is the lack of chav's in the crowd
Keep checking the Olympics tickets website, more tickets keep becoming available because of returns. I saw some available for the women's boxing earlier today.
I thought the ticket holder has to sell it 7 days before the event, but the ticket might not be listed as for sale until later, because the ticket office has to receive the ticket before selling it online. That's what I understood when I was looking into selling my ticket for the taekwondo, but I might have got that wrong. I do know that new tickets have become available on the 2012 website every day this week though.
official website;- there are tickets available for boxing. £75 tickets 10/08 £395 tickets 11/08 £395 tickets 12/08
Sometimes they show tickets as available but when you try to get them it tells you none are available. Maybe they get snapped up v.quickly?
The way the system works, you have to add the tickets and then request them before finding out if they're available. It's very annoying.
Follow this twitter account: @2012TicketAlert It trawls the official ticket site and automatically posts a link whenever any tickets become available. Lots of people have been getting tickets to events this way over the last few days. Boxing seems to come up a lot so keep an eye on it. I'm off to the semis tomorrow night and can't wait. I went to one of the quarters on Tuesday and it was great. I was in the cheap seats near Carl Frampton!
Went twice and couldn't disagree more. Was sat next to a bunch of drunken clueless chavs on both occasions.
