The sad thing about the poms is that in the lounge, they're claiming victory against the US because 'per capita' they are beating them in the medal tally, yet the same guys come over here, and to the Brit forum and boast about beating us in total medal tally.

Yeah, it beats me how their Olympic merger keeps them happy. It wouldn't go down well in the soccer thats for sure. though, they used to say that the reason why GB doesn't field a team in the soccer is because it'd be too disadvantageous for the other teams going up against the likes of England, Scotland, Ireland (when they were part of GB).
They'd be lucky to qualify now even under GB.

 

I suppose they're happy in the fact that they are above us and that's all that matters. Im yet to see any of their teams play, did they even qualify in any team sports?

Cricket is a game you guys are good at. Now can you tell me a world sport you are good at ? A world sport as in one the whole world plays ?

What our medals tally shows is that money and investment = medals, Oz has always invested heavily in sport, we have only recently and now we get results.
