    You can bet. PinnacleSports has odds for gold medalists already - last I checked Lomachenko was +100 (11/10) to win gold.

    How good is Alvarez? I know he won the gold at the world amatuer championships but I missed everything in his weightclass so I haven't seen any footage of him.

    I think he's pretty damn good, surefire bet to take the gold in my opinion. He's a typical cuban, looks to hang back and draw his opponent in then land quick counters.

    Thanks for the vids, I have my weekend boxing viewing sorted now :good
    That would have been a great experience training with the Cuban team, they always have a talented bunch.

    Absolutely no chance, would be a massive surprise if he even medalled. He got beaten up badly by one of the guys the Ukrainian knocked out on his way to gold at the Worlds. The amateur game is different than 4 years ago and there's some big bangers in the division.
    Wait a second he hasn't even qualified for the Olympics has he?
