If this goes the distance, Narváez and Orucuta won't be in the ring until after 1am local time - meaning those fans in Buenos Aires are probably not leaving until 2am. :scaredas:

    Round 1

Castano is hooking the body and lunging in with rights upstairs. Lots of head clashes. Both are cut. Velez is clubbing over the top with right hands and shoving out of clinches. Very rough in there.

    10-9 Castano

    Round 2

Bad head clashes as Castano tries whamming at Velez's sides with hooks from either side but gets hauled in by the arms. Castano blinks as the gash over his brow is aggravated. Castano smashes Velez with a four hook combo after the separation and Velez is down after careening off the ropes. He beats the count and steps in to brawl with Castano, put subdued moments later as Castano launches both fists in with big hooks swiveling above the waist as Velez attempts to protect himself with erratic head movement and lash out with counters. The ref waves it off after Castano rips several unanswered hooks into Velez's head.

    TKO2!!

    Way to go, Castano! :happy

Bringing us closer to bedtime. :-((

We'll be getting the main attraction underway at sort of a "reasonable" hour after all.

Oh **** I just got nervous. They showed a bunch of soccer highlights and it got me thinking maybe TyC Sports were all "badeep badeep badeep that's all folks! :hellohi" - as though Noche De Campeones was over having run over its allotted slot and they were proceeding with regularly scheduled other programming. :yikes

We're back, though. :banana Interviews with Matthysse.

    Walks & anthems, fifteen minutes.

Why are they going about this in such a rush? :!:

The ref, Sam Viruet, looks a bit like Fred Ward if you made him 18% more Chinese looking and crossed him with Alan Thicke.

Actually having given it further thought, more Patrick Duffy than Alan Thicke.

...and boost the Chinese by at least four percent.

    Round 1

Narváez is working the right jab, squatting and lunging in on his forked lead knee before reeling himself back to starting position with sinuous upper body motions, rat tail suspended in the air. Orucuta throws hard body shots from very far outside, putting his full weight into straight rights dropped in with hips fully turned in, then loading up on massive left hooks reaching out to catch Narváez circling away. Narváez is able to flit back from the straight rights and keep his neck arched enough to get his head under the hooks, but narrowly. Narváez darts in with right jabs to the body, keeping a careful distance.

    10-9 Narváez

    Round 2

Narváez is jabbing up at the Mexican (relative) giant, then dropping outside with his shoulders pulled back as Orucuta tries for a big left hook to skewer him on the way out. Flush left hand leads by the champion using in and out movement and quicker feet, nimbly avoiding the ropes with quarter-pivots to alter his plotted course. Orucuta is loading up full bore on every shot he throws, missing some enormous left hooks downstairs with organ rupturing intent. Huge right hand by Orucuta, grazing as Narváez circles underneath.

10-9 Narváez but he certainly seems wary of Orucuta's power.

    20-18 Narváez
