    :good

...and Narváez didn't even try against Donaire. Nobody has ever beaten him when he was trying not to lose.

As soon as odds are published, I'll put up a vBookie event - and that will be the last one this year. (Rigondeaux is a 1/100 fave, Ioka 1/41, Uchiyama 1/25 etc.)

Narvaez will win this one,,... Too much experience,,... Inoue is too green in my opinion,,...

I reflexively picked Inoue, but in the past few days I've been reconsidering as well, Narvaez may very well be a bridge too far at this stage for the Monster to overcome, I don't think Inoue has Donaire like power so I don't think Omar has as much to fear, so I think I'm going with Omar by SD.

I think Inoue does have Donaire like power, but if he wants to go out with a bang I think Narváez is savvy enough to find a way - pretty or not.

I'm not sure, he couldn't KO Taguchi who granted hadn't been KO'd before and went deep into the late rounds 2 other times, he couldn't KO Kokietgym faster than Denver Cuello so... he is quite a Monster:yep but I still have reservations about his true level powerwise. Regardless Narvaez knows how to survive, so like you said he'll find a way.

If he gets the stoppage (provided no chintzy home-cooked Manfredo in the UK type of shenanigans) I'll a) officially be on the Inoue hyping bandwagon, b) recognize him as the Man at super fly, and c) probably argue for him to start creeping into p4p lists.

If he knocks out Narvaez, I'd say that might just be enough to secure him FOTY honours, depending on how it's done. A victory like that might well be enough to allow Monster to overtake the likes of Crawford and Kovalev.

Same here:good I'm currently cautiously optimistic, but he can get a legit KO:shock: He's the real deal.

...yes, and Ruenroeng. (who I actually have as the current frontrunner, ahead of both Kovalev and Crawford - if only for the deeds-on-paper aspect, though when you factor in that I had Ioka comfortably beating him on my card it does make for a somewhat bitter pill to have torecognize him as technically having the best accomplishments...)

It's the rangy sort of striking that gives Narvaez problems (Orucuta, Seda). At least it does until the old men outlasts his challengers and runs away down the stretch.

I expect Inoue to handle him for the first half of the fight and whether he can keep up with Narvaez's attrition is what makes this fight so big.

    Wrong.

Akira Yaegashi vs. Pedro Guevara, 12 rounds, for vacant WBC junior flyweight title; Jorge Linares vs. Javier Prieto, 12 rounds, for vacant WBC lightweight title

Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Hisashi Amagasa, 12 rounds, for Rigondeaux's WBO/WBA junior featherweight title; Katsunari Takayama vs. Go Odaira, 12 rounds, for vacant IBF/WBO strawweight title; Kazuto Ioka vs. Jean Piero Perez, 10 rounds, flyweights

Takashi Uchiyama vs. Israel Perez, 12 rounds, for Uchiyama's WBA junior lightweight title; Kohei Kono vs. Norberto Jimenez, 12 rounds, for Kono's WBA junior bantamweight title; Alberto Rossel vs. Ryoichi Taguchi, 12 rounds, for Rossel's WBA junior flyweight title

There are literally EIGHT other important fights before the end of the year.

C'mon, man. You're being a boxing hipster for the sake of it.

NONE of those fights feature TWO Top 10 boxers in their divisions. Rigo, Yaegashi, Ioka, Takayama, Uchiyama are all fine fighters.

But the helm of the super flyweight division and Fighter of the Year is at stake with Narvaez-Inoue.

A boxing hipster? First time I've heard that expression. Doesn't change the FACT that IB's contention is incorrect.
