Omar Chavez is rocking the red bandana with shiny gold lettering and matching shirt. He's tapping his gloves together and pumping himself up. Alberto Martinez is decked all in black, wearing a logo-free black baseball cap and sucking on a lollipop. He has the most stereotypical gas station attendant mustache you could ask for.
Martinez looks a bit shrimpy at 146 lbs. The Chihuahua native is 15-1 with ten knockouts. He looks calm and ready, and needs to get the damn lolly out of his mouth. It's time to go to work! Chavez has the family resemblance, in both face and body. You could squint and see a younger JCC Jr. standing there.
Round 1 Martinez circles left. Chavez throws rights to the body. Hard jab by Chavez, snaps Martinez's head back. Chavez dances back as Martinez throws out a net of low hooks. Martinez keeps hooking at the body from outside, stretching his arms out but not bringing his feet within several feet of the pocket. Chavez now starts to throw a bit more, coming out of his shell to throw long uppercuts and left hooks to the body. Martinez is backed up but still throwing a bit more. Martinez jabs the body and keeps moving. Chavez jabs high and then throws a sudden earth-shattering left hook to the face from across the ring, knocking Martinez out with only moments left in the round!! Martinez is deposited by the bottom rope and doesn't make an effort to get up (but receives a count anyway, while just sitting there complacently).
