Sorry to bother you chaps, anyone seen this fight from last week - I've just seen it? Incredible action, i urge you to track it down (obviously my legal means) if you haven't seen it. Amazing tempo to the first round, not quite Hagler v Hearns but best I've seen for a while... Must profess my ignorance on these two, first time i've seen them fight. I'll look up some of their old fights now. Anyone know much about them? Both seem to like a scrap, Figueroa throws big hooks, left and right, and brings his punches up nicely, good uppercuts too. And Arakawa just keeps coming. He can take a punch! And keeps smiling, which is always pleasant. Both of em seem very adept at blocking big punches with their face. Where do these sit in the division?
Yeah, pretty epic stuff. Neither has the makings of an elite (Figueroa due his lack of finesse and particularly defense; Arakawa for want of power) but they're both sure to provide some damn exciting nights down the line and either could maybe grab a belt if they get the right match-up.
Seen the last three Figueroa fights he is very, very exciting to the point of being suicidal in his attacks! Agree with the above posters if anyone wants to see a really exciting fighter well worth watching as for longevity agree with welsh dragon.
i'm sure you're right, great fun putting the combinations together, but pure suicide (well put mate!)
Mental fight, Figueroa fights like a psychopath and Arakawa is a total mentalist taking some of those shots!
